A cool breeze kept us from cooking at the Rucphen circuit were the 3The leg of the BC competition
was held. Fantastic weather for the 3th time this year.
A lot of ambiance Saturday until the late hours, partly because of the extensive BBQ of our Walloon
friends and on the other hand the fantastic spare ribs provided by the camp of John Ermen.
Sunday morning 37 drivers presented themselves. We greeted among others Nick and mechanic
Steven Cuypers, Jan De Pooter, Tim Vogels, Tom Martens. Also John Ermen likes driving this leg of the BC.
1/8 MOD
Kris Celis had an off-day and Patrick Prinsen a super day winning the race for Harry, Gio, Bruno and
Kris. Bruno now having fun with the Electro.
1/8 PAN
Adrien again was outstanding, followed like always by Bert. Tom Martens exploring electro driving,
the hardest way came in 3th, Jos 4th.
1/10 Nitro
Christoph, Eric, Jonathan and Ludovic, who was leading the race for almost 20 minutes all had to
retire with mechanical problems. Michael also had 2 long stops and can in 4th.
Thierry who missed his start was not able to catch Cedric and Olivier, those 2 battled for victory the
hard way, the last 10 minutes divided by ½ lap. An exiting race finally won by Cedric.
1/8 Nitro
The ENS winner against the man who drove a million laps on this track, it promised to be a hard race.
John not refueling was able to hold back Robin with 3 secs in qualifying making both 23 laps.
Gunther and John Lenaers joined the top qualifiers with 22 laps. Also 22 laps made Yves, Renaud
and… Nick as occasional driver, top.
Coming over from the semi’s: Yves, Nick and Nico (Kristof missed it by a second) – Donny, Kjento and
Roelof.
In the final Nick damaged his car in the start and unfortunately was not able to continue. Also Yves
lost 2 laps in the start and he had to chase the whole race
Robin was slowly pulling away from John, then after 20 minutes he broke his gear and it was game
over, he lost a sure win.
Also having troubles: John Lenaers, Kjento, Roelof and Nico.
Donny driving consistently came in 4th, Yves 3th, Gunther strong performing the whole race took
second place after local driver John.
