Van Stay, Colen & Van Oosterwijk win Round 3 of Belgian Championship 2017 at Roeselare

Sorry for the late report (holydays and things) from round 3 from the Belgian Championships

which was held at the very hot RCR track Roeselare with temperatures close to 30°.

Very close racing in the 1/10 finals, due to a failure in the counting system 2 minutes were lost in the end result.

1, 2 and 3: Colen, Haeyen and Daniels agreed to take all 370 points.

So the points for the qualification made the difference and put Colen on top.

1/8 ELEKTRO

Local driver David Van Oosterwijk was outstanding and took the win for Bert Aerts followed by another local driver Laurent delannoy.

Top qualifier was Gunther Van Stay , followed by Yves Zoma, local driver Nico Vandewynckel and Renaud Velkeneers.

In the final Gunther lead the race from start to finish, early in the race followed by Augustin Mejor, Bert Poesen and Nico.

Positions switched several times due to an engine failure from Bert and a stalling motor from Augustin.

At the finish Augustin came in second, Nico third and Renaud fourth

We note that the organization was far from perfect. Next time better.
